Staff Liaisons to the Provost Search Committee
Seeking 2 Staff Liaisons (4 nominees submitted by EC, 2 selected by Academic Council)
Appointment: until completion
Academic Council, the elected faculty body that is serving as the Provost Search Committee, is seeking nominations for staff liaisons to the search process. The liaisons will engage with the committee in early March after the committee has reduced the candidate pool to the 8-10 candidates who will be interviewed over two days at an off-campus site. The liaisons will be involved in crafting interview questions, conducting the interviews during the week of March 16, and providing input in the selection of the final candidates who will come to campus. The liaisons will also facilitate on-campus meetings between staff and the finalists during the week of April 6 and collect feedback on candidates to guide the committee’s deliberations.
Eligibility: Academic Council seeks nominees who interface with some aspect of the academic program through their work. However, in accordance with best practices, staff from the Academic Affairs division, i.e. the division that reports-up to the Provost (see the HC org chart for reference), are not eligible to be liaisons to this search.
Community members can provide confidential feedback to the Provost Search Committee via this link: Haverford College - Provost Search Survey.
