What is your current job?
Global Practice Development Manager, Business + Social Purpose, Corporate & Public Affairs at Edelman in New York. In this role, I am responsible for the global Business + Social Purpose practice, which specializes in corporate social responsibility and nonprofit branding, portfolio, and capability growth. I implement internal practice growth strategies and support new business development and strategy. I support the practice’s Global Chair in identifying new business white space areas and targets and play a central coordination role in new business activities led by the Global Chair. As Global Practice Development Manager, I identify, develop and execute partnerships between Edelman and potential corporate, nonprofit, and public sector clients.
I specialize in partnership development, public engagement, communications strategy, nonprofit branding and development, corporate social responsibility, reporting, corporate strategy, and new business development.

I am passionate believer in the power of corporate resources and innovative capacity to bear to help solve society's greatest unmet challenges. I help companies hone long-term growth thinking to shift focus from short-term financial performance to sustainable shared value.
Tell us about a decision or change you made that turned out to be a positive career move
.Early in my career I took a big leap of faith and made the risky decision to leave my first full-time position to accept an unpaid internship in a field that I knew little about. It wound up paying off-- the internship opened my eyes to the potential for sustainability and public-private partnerships to bring about lasting societal change, and has shaped my career ever since.
