The Summer Institute on Ethical Leadership aims to provide future leaders with tools to use when dealing with challenging situations. Twelve students were part of the inaugural cohort, and twelve alums returned to campus to lead the program. Applications for the 2017 institute are due February 1, 2016.

The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship

The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship grew out of faculty and student interests that emerged in the late 1990s. Since then, the Center has developed and expanded into a flourishing nexus of social responsibility, civic engagement, and global peace work, both on campus and in the greater community.

“Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Gender”

"This class aims to give Bi-Co students a chance to explore the intersection of gender, sexuality, race, class, religion, and embodiment in our time. Our focus is principally on the USA, though we make some forays into international conversations. We work to bring the personal into the classroom, and to take what we learn out into the world."— Visiting Assistant Professor of Writing and Coordinator of Gender and Sexuality Studies Anne Balay.
