What is your current job?
I work at the Support Center/Partnership in Philanthropy, which is a management support consultancy that works with nonprofit and mission-driven organizations in New York City metropolitan region. I'm currently a Management Fellow, and I'm focusing on launching our work in the impact economy space. I also support our capacity building work with nonprofits by cultivating relationships with organizations and developing opportunities for our consultants to engage with them.
Why did you choose this profession?
After graduating from graduate school at Columbia, with an MBA and an MA from Teachers College, I wanted to pivot from my previous work in education to a role that supports the social sector more generally. I have found my work at the Support Center to be a great door-opening experience for me to get involved with foundations, nonprofits and social purpose businesses in this local area.
What more do you wish to accomplish in your professional career?
I intend to stay in the impact economy space and continue to think about the ways in which investors, lenders, and funders can provide capital to companies doing good in more efficient, less burdensome, and impactful ways.

.During the job search process at the conclusion of my time in business school, several opportunities presented themselves to me that were convenient and a decent fit for my ambitions. Although it was anxiety-producing at the time, I am confident that by not taking those jobs and being patient with my search process I have ended up in the job that suits me best.
How has Haverford influenced your professional career?
Haverford continues to play a central role in my ability to meet new people and make good connections, especially being on the Eastern seaboard. Additionally, people respect the liberal arts education that a Haverford graduate has received. People trust that I can write and communicate well, think critically, perform solid research, present my ideas clearly, and connect meaningfully with people of different backgrounds. These benefits will only continue to accrue to my benefit, and I'm very grateful.
