Kitt Peak

Astronomy students get the chance to explore the Universe using telescopes like the one shown here, at Kitt Peak National Observatory. Postdoctoral scholar John Bochanski captured this image on a recent trip, where he and Assistant Professor of Astronomy Beth Willman led student observations of the night sky.

Forget Photoshop, Bochanski used a red LED flashlight to spell out Haverford while photographing during a long exposure to achieve this impressive effect!
