Three Haverford Professors Win NEH Fellowships

Lisa Jane Graham, the Frank A. Kafker Associate Professor of History; Brook Danielle Lillehaugen, a linguistics assistant professor, and Gustavus Stadler, an English associate professor, have received highly-competitive National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships to pursue advanced research.
Lisa Jane Graham, the Frank A. Kafker Associate Professor of History, will study changing social norms in France during the Enlightenment. Brook Danielle Lillehaugen, an assistant professor of linguistics, will conduct a linguistic analysis of a collection of Zapotec indigenous testaments, and Gustavus Stadler, an associate professor of English, will research material for his book titled Woody Guthrie and the Intimate Life of the Left. Each NEH fellowship is for $50,400. Only about 7 percent of applicants receive the award.
