Six From Class of 2014 Named Haverford House Fellows

The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship (CPGC) has named the 2014-2015 Haverford House Fellows. These six seniors, who were selected for the fellowship for their commitment to social justice and community action, will spend the year after graduation working four days per week with non-profit organizations in the Philadelphia region and sharing a house together in the West Philadelphia neighborhood of Cedar Park. The fellows, who serve as liaisons between the CPGC and social action agencies as well as collaborators with Haverford community members, will dedicate their fifth workday to projects that serve to engage the College with local groups devoted to creating a more socially just, healthy, and vibrant community.

The 2014-2015 Haverford House Fellows and their host organizations are:

Alexandra Wolkoff will work as a Hacia El Futuro Fellow at Puentes de Salud.

Caya Simonson will work as a family law paralegal at Philadelphia Legal Assistance.

Hiba Dhanani will be a case management and outreach fellow at Project H.O.P.E.

Ian Gavigan will serve as a school-funding research and policy fellow at the Education Law Center.

Marla Dominguez will be a recruitment and student-support fellow at Philadelphia Futures.

Max Reinhardt will be a housing unit paralegal at Community Legal Services.
