Another Successful Year for Haverford's Annual Fund
Details
From the classroom to the soccer field, the art gallery to the lab, Haverford's Annual Fund impacts all aspects of student life. Alumni Relations and Annual Giving is grateful to the thousands of alumni, parents, faculty, administrators, students and friends of the College who invested in the Annual Fund during the 2009-2010 fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). The total amount raised was $4,551,355, reaching the College's goal of $4.55 million.
Special congratulations go to three classes that captured the four Annual Fund Awards given each year for the following achievements:
For the class with the greatest participation among the ten most recent classes, the Scarlet and Black Award goes to the Class of 2005 with 54% participation.
For the class with the greatest participation between the classes from the 10th to 25th reunions, the Founders Bell Award goes to the Class of 1985 with 57% participation.
For the class with the greatest participation between the classes from the 25th through the 50th reunions, the Alumni Association Cup goes to the Class of 1960 with an amazing 94% participation.
The Class of 1960 also won the Barclay Tower Trophy, for the class with the highest average gift amount to the Annual Fund.
Other notable successes for the 2009-2010 Annual Fund include:
Participation: 48% of alumni made a gift.
Consistency: 1,978 donors have given for 10 or more consecutive years.
Leadership: 827 people joined or renewed their membership in The 1833 Society.
Collaboration: The Class of 1984 gave a total of $276,146, the largest class gift.
Parents: 40% of current parents supported the Parents' Fund.
Finally, $101,854 was raised from donors who contributed $50 or less, demonstrating how all gifts can make a big impact.
