STUDENTS EXPLORE CAREERS
Details
Over fall break students interested in learning about careers in international affairs, as well as those involved with“think tanks,” financing community causes, or public interest organizations can meet with a number of Haverford and Bryn Mawr College alumni in those fields. Organized through the Colleges' joint Career Development offices, this year's“Career Exploration Days” are offering students the chance to visit with three to five alumni during specific days in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. Students interested in journalism careers can also visit the New York studios of“Lifetime" television.
Past Career Exploration Days have afforded students informational sessions with alumni working on Capitol Hill, the National Institutes of Health, museums, public service, and law.
“As a first step in their career investigations, this program is a great way for students to meet with several alumni in their workplace over the course of a day,” says Haverford College Career Development director Amy Feifer.
