George Thomas and Susan Snyder lecture at the University of Pennsylvania in the Urban Studies and Architecture programs and have a professional practice that helps colleges and their towns work together to the benefit of both. Their talk will show how the Haverford campus reflected both the ideology of the founders and the ever more complicated interaction with the off-campus world -- and will discuss how colleges of Haverford's level of excellence express their goals and aspirations through their campus.
