Sex Piano at the Philly Fringe
Details
As students at Haverford College, Scott Sheppard, Zack Grunau, Nick Krefting and Peter English (all class of '06) attracted a strong following as Sex Piano, a band known for catchy, danceable music and raucous live shows that featured plenty of audience participation. Their most ambitious project, Jonas and the Unicorn, was a post-apocalyptic rock musical fairy tale about one boy's journey to save the last dance floor on Earth.
Now, in a series of shows at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival's celebrated midnight cabaret, they return with Henry Truman for City Co-Chair, the tale of an inept politician that aims to highlight the absurdities of the modern political campaign.
Sex Piano Presents: Henry Truman for City Co-Chair, runs August 30th, September 6th and September 12, at 11:59 p.m. at the Adrienne Theater Mainstage, 2030 Sansom Street Tickets are available online at www.livearts-fringe.org, in person at the Fringe box office, or at the door the night of the show.
