KINSC Scientific Imaging Contest

The KINSC Scientific Imaging Contest is an annual competition for student-submitted images from experiments or simulations that are scientifically intriguing as well as aesthetically pleasing. Judging is based on both the quality of the image and the explanation of the underlying science.

Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center

The Marian E. Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center's programming and funding supports the faculty and students of the departments of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics and Statistics, and Computer Science as well as others within the College who wish to pursue research in the sciences.

Sofia Tieze '17 was one of the biology students funded by the KINSC to assist with the Santa Fe River Turtle Project's annual turtle survey in Florida.

Thanks to a new partnership between the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and the Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center, Jonathan Wilson's "Economic Botany" class spent spring break in Trinidad and Tobago on an experiential-learning study tour.

HCAH - DEARBED

The John B. Hurford '60 Center for the Arts and Humanities (HCAH) supports the intellectual and artistic ambitions of faculty, students and staff. They foster collaboration, experimentation, and critical thought through seminars, symposia, research and curricular support, working and reading groups, arts and performance residencies, exhibitions and visual culture programming.

Created by Yoshi Nomura '18 and sponsored by the HCAH and the E. Clyde Lutton 1966 Memorial Fund, DEARBED consists of an ongoing performance across 4/7 and 4/8 for 28 hours, along with an interactive, open exhibition in Founders Great Hall. Photo: Caleb Eckert '17.
