Chemistry major Alyssa Sherman '18 is working for Boeing's International Space Station department this summer before heading off to the University of Pennsylvania for a master's degree in material engineering as part of Haverford's 4+1 engineering program.

Summer Centered: Gerrit Farren '20

A native of Germany, physics major Gerrit Farren '20 will return to Europe this summer to conduct theoretical physics research that will be used to construct a model of the Big Bang.

Thanks to funding from the Koshland Natural Sciences Center, Farren will study in Professor of Astrophysics and Cosmology Andrew H. Jaffe’s Imperial College, London-based lab. "Summer Centered" is a series exploring our students' Center-funded summer work.
