Athletics – NY Times
At Haverford, athletics can be big in the classroom and on the field. As The New York Times reports, many seniors choose to focus their thesis project on sports, and a large number of grads work in Major League Baseball.
With funding from the John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities, May Plumb ’16 is working with Assistant Professor Brook Lillehaugen to preserve and educate people about Colonial Valley Zapotec, a native language of Mexico’s Southern region.
Haverford attracts intellectually curious, independent learners who value honesty, collaboration, and above all, new ways of seeing and improving the world.
As you perform real-world research and immerse yourself in hands-on learning, you'll work side-by-side with professors who are at the top of their fields.
Our mascot—the Black Squirrel—has a genetic adaptation that gives it a bold, black coat. Join our distinctive community and stand out from the pack with your fellow Haverfordians.
