The Campus
The Haverford campus is the oldest planned college landscape in the country. Our meticulously maintained 200 acres contain a nature trail, a Pinetum and flower gardens.
“Haverford taught me how to think and analyze. Those skills are much more important than knowing “things” right when you get out of college. Anyone can learn “things”, and you’ll learn new things every day. But learning how to analyze a problem/situation and react to it is very hard, and Haverford did a great job of teaching it to me.” – Adam Goldstein ’07, Economics Major
Haverford attracts intellectually curious, independent learners who value honesty, collaboration, and above all, new ways of seeing and improving the world.
As you perform real-world research and immerse yourself in hands-on learning, you'll work side-by-side with professors who are at the top of their fields.
Our mascot—the Black Squirrel—has a genetic adaptation that gives it a bold, black coat. Join our distinctive community and stand out from the pack with your fellow Haverfordians.
