Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2418 This course introduces students to some of the cultural theories that have influenced the recent work of historians as well as examples of historical monographs that take a theoretical approach. It highlights imaginative & innovative approaches to history rather than a particular geographic or chronological period. Among the cultural theorists whose work we will examine will include Michel Foucault, Clifford Geertz, Pierre Bourdieu, Edward Said, and Dipesh Chakrabarty.
