| Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2758 This course will follow the development of methods for calculating vibrational lineshapes from a grounding in quantum chemistry methods such as density functional theory. Harmonic and anharmonic methods for calculating vibrational frequencies will be introduced and used by students. Water will be used as an example system for these calculations, and experimental comparisons will be made. ; Pre-requisite(s): Concurrent enrollment in or completion of CHEM 305 or instructor consent.
