Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2487 This course will begin with an exploration of the literary achievement of the Black Arts Movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s, engaging with its political and cultural context. We will then move into contemporary fiction, poetry, nonfiction, theory and popular culture, articulating the relationship between mainstream artists of the late 20th and 21st century and the ideals of BAM. ; Prerequisite(s): Two 200-level English courses or instructor consent Humanities, A: Meaning, Interpretation (Texts) (; Hav: HU, A) |
