Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2867 This course explores the representation of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality within multiple forms of visual culture, including film, video, and mass media. In particular, we will examine the politics of representation in visual culture produced by and about queer communities of color. Drawing on queer studies, feminist studies, ethnic studies, visual culture studies, and film studies, this course will introduce students to the burgeoning interdisciplinary field of queer of color studies.
