Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1869 This course is an introduction to contemporary Indigenous literatures that will include a variety of fiction, non-fiction, and poetic texts. You will read writers such as Natalie Diaz (Mojave), Joy Harjo (Mvskoke), and Tommy Orange (Cheyenne and Arapaho). In addition, we will consider key concepts in Indigenous studies and Indigenous literary theory such as those from Joanne Barker (Lenape), Daniel Heath Justice (Cherokee), and Craig Womack (Creek).
