Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1113 An introduction to tonal music theory and compositional practice, drawing on diverse American and European repertories. Explored are techniques of musical analysis, harmonization in four parts, and the craft of composition from the phrase level to larger units of structure. Composition of a set of variations, sonatina, or other homophonic piece is the final project.
