Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1415 This course will examine American politics and policy-making through the lens of partisan polarization in the electorate and in policy-making institutions. The course serves dual aims: to help prepare students (especially senior majors) to conduct independent research and to probe more deeply into scholarly debates about the impact of polarization (and other factors) on elections and policy-making. Counts as POLS 300-level pre-thesis seminar. Prerequisite: One prior course in American Politics or public policy or permission of the instructor. Enrollment is limited to 18 students. Haverford: B: Analysis of the Social World (B), Social Science (SO) Enrollment Limit: 18; Enrollment Criteria: Senior Political Science majors. |
