Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2120 This course will provide an overview of the field of health psychology using lecture, exams, videos, assignments, and an article critique. We will examine the current definition of health psychology, as well as the theories and research behind many areas in health psychology (both historical and contemporary). The course will focus on specific health and social psychological theories, empirical research, and applying the theory and research to real world situations. Prerequisite: Introductory Psychology (PSYC B105) or Foundations of Psychology (PSYC H100). Students may take either this course or HLTH/PSYC H245 not both. Approach: Course does not meet an Approach; Haverford: B: Analysis of the Social World (B), Social Science (SO) Enrollment Cap: 36; Post Bac seats reserved 3: If the course exceeds the enrollment cap the following criteria will be used for the lottery: PSYC Majors or Minors by class (seniors then juniors then sophomores), then Health Studies minors by class (Senior, then Junior, then sophomore), then by seniority Senior, Junior, Sophomore; Prereq PSYC 105 |
