The purpose of this club is to give students with interest in the financial markets, education in investing through real life experience with the stock market. Through a collective decision-making process, followed by monitoring the performance of stocks coupled with educational presentations, we hope to teach students methods of investing, how to choose and evaluate stocks, and potential risks and rewards associated with the stock markets. Using students with all levels of experience we will educate and learn from each other. We plan to meet weekly to collectively create a diverse portfolio of investments via online investment firms and in turn learn factors effecting stock performance including government jurisdictions, financial performance of companies, identify trends and cycles, etc.
