New Haverford House Fellows Named
Details
The Center for Peace and Global Citizenship at Haverford College has named the 2011-2012 Haverford House Fellows. The six Class of 2011 fellows, who were selected for their commitment to social justice and community action, will spend the year following graduation working four days per week with non-profit organizations in the region. Fellows dedicate their fifth workday to projects that serve to engage the College with local groups and people devoted to creating a more socially just, healthy and vibrant community. Haverford House Fellows share a home in the Cedar Park neighborhood of West Philadelphia and serve both as liaisons between the CPGC and social action agencies and as mentors to and collaborators with Haverford students, staff and faculty.
